syncing facebook contacts on smoked glass

i have the latest version of smoked glass installed on my phone, and ive been trying to sync my facebook friends info to my contacts, but nothing is happening. the only contacts present are the ones i put in manually. i heard that a possible solution to this would be deleting the facebook.apk from the phone by using root explorer, and then reinstalling it from the market, but ive tried it and it wouldnt let me delete it. any suggestions?

I would try syncing your Facebook contacts before you apply any theme. Shouldnt make a difference, but worth a shot.

Hold on. I was able to delete the facebook.apk. I was doing it wrong before. But now, I keep getting unsuccessful installs of facebook from the market, and a notice saying that it is incompatible. I don't see why though. Any advice?
