Syncing my droid to the computer

So I can't get my droid to sync my contacts to gmail.

It works fine from computer to droid, but if I add a new contact in my droid it never makes it to the gmail on my computer...

What do I have set wrong?????

I tried a search but I am not very good at wording the search I guess....

Settings>accounts & sync>tap your email address and make sure the sync contacts and what not are selected

Yep all that is correct still won't sync from phone to computer

Yep. even tried importing from sd card and all that did was double up some contacts on google but not all... now I gotta go weed them out on the computer.....

I guess no one else has this problem so I must have something not set right somewhere but I can't figure out what it is or where it is.....
