Thanks to Lifehacker, I tried out this app called Android System Info and was quite frankly astounded at the amount of information given in it. It shows a list of currently running programs, including allowing killing of processes.. but it does not do so automatically (aka its a good task manager 
). The neat part in my mind is that it has a tab with what looks like acat logs, while it has a simple dashboard telling the amount of battery is left, as well as internal storage and SD storage as well as IP address and connection status.
I honestly cannot see how any potentially useful bit of information about our phones is not somewhere in this app. Give it a try
