"System Tray" ? Font/Icon size

OK I have no idea what to call it...a system tray, a task bar...whatever. That bar along the top that shows you your service quality and the time, along with a few other things.

I want to make that whole thing BIGGER. The icons, the text...everything. While I'm driving, I cannot rely on my vehicle's time, it gets screwed up pretty quickly. I'd set it to the right time a couple months ago and now it's about 25 minutes ahead, just to give you an example. I use a car dock.

Is there an app that makes this bigger? And if I want to see whatever other information is on there, I'll just swipe from left to right and vice versa.

I am 99.9999% sure the only way you can modify your status bar will require root.

Perhaps looking into a car dock app may be a good alternative??

I just might have to look into rooting, then. When I'm driving, I usually just leave it on Pandora so I know the name of the song and can skip it if I want. It's a bit too far away though to see the time.

Before you root, I'd recommend looking to see if the mod you want is out there or if it's possible. I know it's possible to get slightly bigger icons, just not sure I've ever seen the "surface area" of the notification bar enlarge before. Not to say it isn't doable ... just can not recall ever coming across one.

Well hopefully someone will see this thread that has come across this.

When I created this topic, I was thinking it should've been RAZR MAXX-specific, but I guess now it's a matter of software? I'm not sure. Is there a better forum for this? If so, please "Move" the thread. Thanks.
