System update - unknown

When I went to the phone options & clicked "check for system updates", I got a msg. that asked me to click ok for an update availalbe but it never said what it was...it took about 10 minutes & then when it said the update was downloaded, I needed to click ok to install the download.

How am I able to tell what this update is??? I click menu options & get nothing. I've been clicking "update later", which means in 2 hrs. I keep getting my droid update notice.

I don't care to update anything until I know what I'm updating. Is there a way find what update is pending on the Dx???? And is it possible to tell what that update is??

Gingerbread is the codename for the current version of the android os your phone is now running. 2.3.3 I believe? Not 100% sure b/c I don't have a DX.

Well, I like it but I have the D1 rooted and and a custom rom installed, gingerbread 2.3.4

How could you get to the point of posting a question on this forum and still not have the foggiest idea what Gingerbread is? It's everywhere.

I always heard fo gingerbread...never knew i'd be forced to use it.
