The day of reckoning is finally here. If you are on T-Mobile and you are still trying to use your Note 7 you will soon find that your device can no longer accept a charge. The new update is labeled N930TUVU2APL2. T-mobile's support page says that the once the update is received you will get a notification that your device has been recalled with instructions on what to do with the device. Once the update is received the battery will be prevented from charging. Of course once your phone runs out of battery it will be a useless brick.

T-mobile is the first carrier to release this update which is intended to encourage the remaining Note 7 users to finally return their devices. AT&T and Verizon will roll out their update on January 5th while Sprint will roll out their update on January 8. As of a few weeks ago all but 7% of the Note 7 devices had been returned to Samsung.
