Taking my Droid into Verizon.

So, I'm getting a new number and contract on my Droid. Do I need to unroot the phone before taking it in or will they not notice if I take off my theme for now? I would much rather just take off the theme and take the root icons off of my main screens.

I would make a backup and unroot if I were you. I have a friend who runs a store in Virginia and he says they won't give service to anyone with a rooted phone. I am sure some employees wouldn't care but as the store manager he has to enforce that rule but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Ugh. Do I go into SPRecovery and then just make a backup or something and then save that backup to my computer?

through sprecovery you can make a nandroid back-up and it stores on your sd card so you don't need to put it on your computer. Do you use rom manager?
