Talk & Text Plus Data $20 Disc... will I lose it?

So I have this discount from my old Blackberry circa January 2011. My question is: Will I retain this discount when I upgrade? Does it only apply to Talk and Text plus UNLIMITED data? If it does, I will lose it if I upgrade at a lower rate because I will lose my unlimited data plan. If I can keep this discount after upgrading at the lower rate (signing a 2 year contract), then I should be fine. If not, I will just buy a phone at full price, seeing as how I will save 480 dollars over 2 years anyway. Is my logic sound? Does anyone have any further information on this? Thanks guys.

You will keep it. I had the same $20 data discount and instead of switching to a family share plan I only changed my line to a 2 gb plan. I only pay $19.99 for the line and data plus the rest of my other 4 lines.

Discount or no discount, you will lose unlimited if you get the upgrade pricing. Depending on their policies concerning your discount, you could lose that too.

How did you get them to do that?
Last time I talked to them and asked for that they wouldn't go for it.
No matter what route I went I would lose the discount.
I don't care about unlimited data, I just want subsidized phones.
