Tasks on Android exchange for Outlook

Why doesn't android exchange sync or even receive outlook tasks on the Droid via email? Do the newer Droids solve this problem? I'm thinking about getting the Touchdown app that is supposed to sync all but I'm not all that crazy about it being another app you have to open every time.

Tasks aren't synced via email for one thing. IIRC, there's no API support. However, I think there are solutions for syncing tasks. You'd need to search the forums just as I would for specifics.

You might want to re-read Touchdown's features as I don't believe it offers tasks support.

I'm not all that crazy about it being another app you have to open every time.

No matter what solution you end up with, you'll have to open an app to view/edit tasks.

Touchdown down sync tasks using Exchange. Works well. TD is not something else you "have to open". No different in that regard as the stock email app.
