tethering to Acer tablet trouble

I have a rooted droid and I am trying to tether to my Acer tablet. The tablet is not seeing my wifi signal from my phone. Can someone help?

As far as I can tell the tablet software doesnt support adhoc networks.

Correct. You would need to modify the wpa-supplicant file. I have guide on how to do it on the xoom. Might work for Acer.
