Tethering your gaming console would typically be done using your computer in the middle in order to bridge a network connection; connect your console to your computer via an ethernet network cable, & enable the tethered connection with the phone, set up a Bridged Network Connection between the console and your computer in "My Network Places (windows, unsure of the steps via mac)" and then the internet connection should work.

Hope this helps!

What's your signal like? Also, if you have any OC'd profiles to slow your phone down when your display is off, disable it. Don't use Barnacle so I'm not 100% on its settings.

barnical just wont work all together and thats fine but the wireless tethering is SO slow it will take atleast a min to load a page on my ipad and will NOT play a vid on youtube over 30sec...im not wonting to use online gameing I was just using that as a reference...I have full serv. when im tethering thats what I dont get....I dont have anything else but LP on my phone

I was having some issues yesterday. I rebooted lappy and then phone, and I don't have any issues now with inet speeds on my lappy.

Still haven't got it to hook up to wii yet. That's one of my weekend projects.

I'm using wireless tether app on rooted D2

Try the latest version of the app in my sig. Many more features and options than the one on the market.

Also, iPads and iPhones don't usually like Ad-Hoc networking. Not sure why, but it might have something to do with Apple assuming that everyone who can afford one will have a "proper" network to hook it into.

yea i rebooted my ipad but it still does nothing.....might b that the ipad doesnt like it as furbearingmammal said

I know some people have had unbelievable issues and gone to extreme lengths to get their iPods tethered properly. I'm assuming it's probably the software (iOS) at this point, rather than the hardware. I don't know if jailbreaking your iPad/iPod would help or not. However, I'm not advocating doing so. :)

Well it shouldn't have anything to do with it but I installed squidlys ROM last night and over clocked to 1.2ghz and it is working like a champ now idk but that's all that matters I guess

Are you saying you can now stream video from your phone hotsot to your ipad without a speed problem? If so what was the exact name of the rom you used?
TIA Alan

Squidly's removes a few background apps that cause lag in the phone and connection. Frees up data as some of those apps are always up and down with your social stats and what not. You could probably get the same result with it at stock or underclocked with low or ulv in place.
