Text and Talk

I have noticed that if I am on a call I cannot view a text message or send a text message. Why? I mean all the other carriers allow this. Is it a Moto or VZW issue. So aggravating. AT&T lets you talk and surf, Sprint lets you talk and text. What is up with VZW?.

This has been thoroughly discussed in the past. CDMA network and GSM networks are different. This is the one thing AT&T is over-exposing in their ads against VZW, because they really have none else. Sprint is also CDMA, so you cannot do data and talk at the same time, only exception is on a CDMA phone you can do data with wifi. If you do a search, you'll find similar threads about this and has been beaten into the ground already.
