Text messages sent repeatedly?

i send one text and my friends receive 3-5 of the same text when i only sent it once.
is this the phone problem or verizons problems because my friends are getting annoyed from getting the same texts repeatedly when they were only suppose to receive one.

it's a network issue.

used to get a couple of those multiple texts every now and then on AT&T

VZW issue.... have had this happening for a while but my buddy on VZW with a BB Curve said he's having the same issue... so it's not isolated to the Droid
