Text Messaging Issues

Lately i have been having alot of problems with the text messaging programs. It keeps force closing over and over again and i end up having to shut the phone off a few times before it will start working fine again. Also other problems is ill press the typing box to get the keyboard to come up and when i start typing, it wont show up in the messaging box. It will show under the box where i cant do anything with it or send it. Again i have to reset the phone before it will start working again. Anyone encounter this problem?
