Text Messaging Problem

Anyone else having a problem with text messaging when your phone wouldnt recieve text for a while then it would give you all your text at one time from like a period of an hour or so? Anyone know how to fix this? it doesn't happen often but its still a bit of a problem.

Ima assume you did not toggle background data off and on. Only thing I could think of is if you in a bad data area. I can look up to see if someone has had similar issues, but it will be awhile before I can get back at you, I am at work.

No rush at all and thanks for any help. i doubt its a bad data area, im home right now and this is probably the first time it happened at home. and maybe the second or third time it ever happened.

Making/receiving calls and texts has nothing to do with data or background data...

Background data is used for email, social networking, web browsing, etc.

You probably didn't get texts for a while and then all at once because you were in an area with poor reception.

Hmm it's still happening. Hopefully it will wear off by the morning. I had this problem before with my blackberry storm so it might be the verizon network and not the phone. Only time can tell for now.

Did that and it still happened. I did a nandoid backup to when i didnt have the problem and nothing. i also removed atk and still. its starting to ease off now though. Looks like im getting all my text as should be.
