Text messaging suddenly locks up every couple words

Starting just a couple days ago, out of nowhere, this crap happens. It freezes up after every word or two, I have to back out to the home screen, go back into text messaging, and pick up where I left off. What a PITA!! What is going on and what can I do about it?!?

Try this fix from Overmann. It worked for me. See if it works for you.

This is a problem that has plagued most Droid Pro users when upgrading to gingerbread. Here's the fix for it.

Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Multi-Touch Keyboard

Then press Clear Cache and Clear Data

Reboot the phone

Everything's fixed.
