Text msg = my twitter account?

so I sent a text message to a radio show, and a few days later the host tweeted me. how does that happen? how is my phone number connected to my twitter account?

Anyone? I'm not very comfortable with that. What other info can some get if send them a text? My phone number? Foursquare stuff? Email?

There's an option for that online at twitter. It's an option to send tweets from twitter to your text messages. Comes through as 40404 or something. Go to twitters site, select the person and look for the cell phone icon to change it. Haven't tried it through the app.
