Text notification interrupts music

Before the 2.2 update. The music would keep playing and it would still beep or what not for the text message. Now the music pauses. beeps, then picks back up.
Its personally annoying.

Any way to fix it?

Honestly I'm not sure, Its annoying though lol. Its most likely a system level process and would require root to change it... maybe someone else has a solution, we can hope lol.

I believe u have to have your notifications set on silent to stop the interruption

I think so too. Lol But I know I've had phones that hasn't... and when it does it annoys me.

I have tasker set to turn the notification volume to zero when I'm plugged in to the headphone jack. Seems to work great for me.

It only happens to me when I am using bluetooth audio in the car. Its highly annoying. I think this may finally push me over the edge to buying tasker.

For now, just turn your alert/notification volume down when playing music.

I'm new to droids and tasker, could you provide the tasker settings to do this.

Just remember how cool it is to be able to listen to music and get text messages through wave forms at the same time!
This happens with music and when i watch video. I assumed there was nothing I could do about it.
