text notification issue

using handsent getting one handscent (transformer sound) red notify in notification bar

getting nother message notification (droid sound) with post card icon never seen before... in notification bar

how the hell do i get rid of second notification..... so irritating

Make sure your stocked text message app notification isn't turned on. They may of updated it and turned it on.

Have everything turned off in stock message app... still getting the secondary notification looks like a post card icon... will not take you anywhere if you try to select it...

I believe the post card is another handcent icon. How long has the issue been persisting? As long as you've had handcent?

The post card is another Handcent Icon - there are two notifications for handcent, one for sms and one for mms - try changing the mms icon and see if your reoccuring icon changes along with it

ok then how do i do that.... just started this crap today.... when i test notifications the secondary does not happen...

I don't use Handcent anymore, I went back to the Stock Messaging app - so I can't give you step by step, but it should be in the Handcent "settings" somewhere - look for MMS Notifications

message limit 200
sms delivery rept off
mms delivery rpt off
auto retrive off
text message setting
notification bar on
ringtone transformer
vibrate off
sms mms setting
sig off
callback off

ok any ideas???

I am having this same issue. Dual notification sound dual notification icons. The second one is the postcard thing that does nothing when you click on it. FYI I do not have Handcent installed or anything. Stock Droid X.

Help?
