Text pic size "too big"

So I take a picture .. I want to send it via text ....it says image is too big so it compresses it. I send it via text message and the other person either doesn't get it or the people that get them say it's super tiny.

Help? Suggestions? This is really annoying....

I had the same issue with sending pics to my girl to pass boredom at work. I thought she just couldn't get MMS pix. Then I downloaded PicSayPro because it shrinks the photos to a size she can recieve them... however then I started using Handcent SMS as my main texting app because when you attach a photo it automatically resizes it to a sendable size.

I send them anyway when it says that and people get them just fine on iphones and droids. Don't know about other phones, but I think it's just an error, it should work fine.
