Texting issues?

So since about 3pm yesterday i've been having some issues with my droid pro...i can only text people who have verizon.

If you are outside of the verizon network the text fails every time...

anyone see this happen before?

Have you tried a number manually or are you grabbing from your contacts?

My droid pro has been working fine until I was testing my friend and out of nowhere a notification popped up on my phone saying that a text message hasn't been sent and I tried to open it but it said the the message was not available and I can not get this notification to go away. Can someone please help me figure out what is wrong with my phone?

according to verizon after a lot of time on the phone...what seems to fix this issue:

If in your contact you have them set to have a +1 before the area code-- this could cause text messages to fail.

they have opened up a network ticket to look into this issue...i'll let you know if we hear more...

remove the +1 from the contact in your phone book.....
