texting problem

anyone getting this issue?
maybe 80% of the time when i go into the texting app that came with the phone i click on the text box to start typing and when i type nothing shows up. i have to go out of the message with that person and go back and then it works.
its extremely annoying..

My wife had that problem the other day with her droid2. I was able to fix it by going into systems/apps/multi touch keyboard and then doing a clear data and force stop on it. She hasn't had a problem since.

Next time it happens just try turning your phone (landscape to portrait, or vice versa). That always fixes it for me.
