The Wet X Part 1

Ok so last sunday I dropped my X into the toilet(terrible). I immediately pulled it out but didnt pull the battery out and watched the LCDs backlight die. It rebooted in my hands and then completely shut down. Fast forward to today. I have the X completely torn apart down to the motherboard and I plug it in via wall charger and get the M logo(barely visible due to busted backlight). I am also able to get it into the bootloader but unable to program due to the battery now being dead/probably shot. When I hit my buddy up for his battery today do you think ill be able to get it SBFd and back up and running minus the backlight?

U should have let it dry for 24hrs then plug it in. Since u gave it a charge by a reboot right after you could have damaged it. So u have a 50/50 chance that it might work but ubnever know till u try

Yeah never dropped a phone in water before so didnt think bout it till it was too late

I would say you killed it. My mom dropped her LG Ally in the toilet while I was there, so I immediately removed the battery, SD, case and everything and stuck it in a bowl of rice. The next day we turned it on and it worked great...

Well I got a battery and got it hooked up to RSD light. Was able to flash a sbf but still stuck in the M. I think she is gone fellas. Weird it let me flash it fully though. So root is gone if I decide to scam verizon out of a replacement.

Bad thing is, there will be signs of water damage in the phone, like the white water indicators in the battery compartment. Yours will be pink/red since they got wet...

Easily swapped over from the like new replacement though. I have absolutely no problem giving big red the finger they constantly give us

I know one of them is flat rate $70 for water immersion, but not sure which one.
