theming questions. need help please.

im trying to make a theme and can't seem to change the signal bars icons. everything else in the theme works just fine. i can change all the other notification icons. but when i change the icons for the signal bars, it for some reason doesn't do anything. every time i reboot the phone it goes back to the stock signal bars. any ideas? also im wondering if you know how to/where to go to remove the recently used apps from the notification bar???

The pngs your looking for are in the htc framework apk they are labeled cdma_sys

Havent had to remove the recent apps personally because every rom ive used has removed it. However, there is a thread on xda with an update.zip ill post it when i get off work

ugh... im getting so frustrated with this! hahaha no matter WHAT signal bars i edit, and trust me i've changed every singla signal bar there is....... it still won't change when i flash it! i was told to also edit the com.htc.resources.apk and have done that as well and still no luck! i don't know why the signal bars are the ONLY thing i can't change?! hahaha i'm ready to chuck my phone!

and yeah if you cuold post me the link to the thread on getting rid of the recently viewed apps that would be great.

the signals are in the com.htc.resources.apk/ drawable-hdmi folder. an example of the right one is cdma_sys_4signal_1.png this would be the 1 bar signal. you can try taking the png you want to ad rename to cdma_sys_4signal_1.png and copy and paste to the rom of your choice. this is what i did with know problems.
