So Friday I received my "like new" replacement from my droid I had since released date that all of a sudden deceiced to start acting weird (battery showed ? And wouldn't charge and kept rebooting). So with the new droid I have 2 different snap on cases where both of front cases doest not fit! Also noticed that screen brightness outside is dimmer that original droid (set on either auto or full). Also noticed a plus, gps finds itself a lot quicker and more accurate. Although google cloud had all my contacts, paid apps, I still had to go through and redownload all free ones I had again (time consuming). Other than that seems like phone is working just like org one!

It's pretty well known that when you get a new Droid only your paid apps are in the download section. Free apps have to be reinstalled as you say.

I don't understand why this is an issue for people. Most of us don't use every app daily, I've got apps I hardly touch like Google Googles (that probably came with the phone), a local television stations app. If I needed these things I simply would go get them on an "as needed" basis.

All in all it sounds like you did OK for yourself. Just tell yourself that the brightness thing is in your head (it may be) and you'll be fine. :)

About the snap on case. I ordered one from Verizon a silicone/rubber one way back and I could not get that thing to fit on my Droid for the life of me. Others I've talked to have had no issue so apparently there is something to that in regards to the size of Droids. You would think your case would have been "stretched" by now so it should have fit. Strange indeed.
