This looks like the right forum, s-o-o-o....

For the last week or so, my email (Moto-Droid running ver2.2, and NO, not mod) has not been getting my email from my email provider. (my own domain). BUT, I am getting results from the K-9 app, so I don't miss anything. I usually like to run the Droid email program. (I wish they had a group batch, like K, where you can select all, then dump everything into the trash). But, the question....has anyone had the stock email program stop getting the mail? If there is a fix, please let me know. I was going to uninstall, and reinstall, but I don't know where I can get a download link to get the stock email program to re-install. Is uninstall/install a fix? Or is it something that some of you are also experiencing.

If this is just the 'new' way of operatig, I'll probably reverse the priority, and use K9 for my 'every 20 min search for mail' and push the stock email to the curb 'get whats left every 12 hours'.

If you aren't rooted you can uninstall the email app anyways. You can't do anything with system apps unless rooted. As far as it's functionality, I've always found it quite lacking. It was never a really good option in the first place I would just go with your idea of mainly using K-9.

Go into Settings-Applications-Manage Applications - All (at the top) - Gmail
Clear the data.

Open gmail and see if it works

That is unless you are talking about the email app thats not for gmail, in which case ignore me.
