A few weeks ago Google included a patch in their security update which blocked all rooted devices from using Android Pay. It even blocked those devices that were using Xposed Mods. There is apparently a way to bypass the "SafteyNet" checks placed into the latest updates. "jgummerson" posted the method which is as follows.

-Starting from stock 6.01
-Flashed systemless SuperSU 2.67 from TWRP
-run "adb shell"
-from adb shell run "su"
-from adb shell run "chmod 751 /su/bin"

If you are rooted and would like to use Android Pay give this a try and report back here with your results!
