I would really love for all of my pictures to be in one folder. Is there a way to make the camera automatically save to My Pix? And while we're on the subject, is there a way to get rid of all those folders in the Gallery? All I need is Pictures and Videos. :angry:

Yes, you can have all of your pics in one folder, if you collect all of them and put them all in one folder.
I believe you can go into the camera app and choose what folder to save pics in, but don't quote me on that.

Lastly, if your basic dumb phone works better for you, go back to it.

I like having different folders. I don't want to have to scroll thru all my family pics when I just want to choose a wp or app icon or dock background, and vice versa. I have different pic folders on my PC, and I like it being the same on my PC phone.

But if you want them all in one place, you can mount your sdcard and move them around using your PC pretty easily I would think.

I was afraid using the computer was the only way. I don't really want to unmount my SD card every day to re-combine pictures as I take new ones. Oh well.

Out of curiosity, what different folders does the D2 put pictures in? My D1 drops them all into /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/.

I use Androzip to organize all of my gallery folders but, any file manager should do the trick. I usually have to reboot for the change to take effect though.

That's where the D2 puts pictures as well. I just want them to be in My Pix instead. The separate folders thing is in Gallery, where it has Folders, Videos, All Photos, and the totally pointless Camera Roll.

All of this isn't really a problem with the phone, it's just my annoyance at it not doing exactly what I want.

I wouldn't call the camera roll folder pointless. I have over 500 pics in the gallery and only about 100 of them were captured with the camera. So if I want to look at that random pic I took at that party last week I can go in to the camera roll and find it easier then having to wade through all the random stuff I have downloaded. And I don't think this really makes the phone "dumber than a two year old" its just a feature you don't like.
