Time stamp off 5 hours on pics

Has anyone noticed the time stamp on pics taken on the Droid X is 5 hours ahead of the actual time taken. This only shows up if you transfer the file to your computer, or email it, an then check the properties of the file. I'm in central time zone in U.S. and the properties say pictures are taken 5 hours later than when I took them, which would be greenwich mean time.

I believe that since the Android OS runs atop Linux, it uses UTC time instead of local time for file timestamps. This is common amongst UNIX-like OSes; as a matter of fact Windows is in the minority using local time.

The funny thing is, when you look at the info of the pic while it's on your phone, it shows the correct time taken, it's just when you transfer it to your PC that the time stamp is off 5 hours.
