If you aren't sure how to root your Moto X Pure Edition manually no worries. Developer "bhp090808" has released a tool that will allow you to easily and quickly flash recovery and root your device. The best part is that you don't have to have any prior adb experience since this flashes your recovery with one click. Once recovery is flashed the toolkit will reboot your device into recovery so you can flash the supersu.zip. There are also options to flash stock recovery, an option to link to motorola's website for unlocking the bootloader, an option to return to stock by flashing the boot.img, and more.
