The brand spankin' new Toshiba Excite 10 gets benchmarked in a video from PhoneArena. They put the tablet through its paces, and for the most part it shows some impressive numbers. In some benchmarks it slightly edges out the previous reigning king of tablet performers, the Asus Transformer Prime. It is a bit surprising that it beats out the Transformer Prime considering both tabs have the same NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core chip in them. Perhaps it's because of software optimization on the part of the Toshiba. Give the video above a watch to see the details.

I wouldn't really call that a "win" for the Excite 10 - i'd say they tied. Quadrant is a synthetic benchmark, and that small of a difference falls within the margin of error. If you ran the benchmark enough times, i'd be willing to bet the devices would swap spots a couple of times. Same way my Bionic OC'd to 1.2GHz with the GPU OC'd to 384MHz. It and the GNex swap spots a few times if I run the benchmark a dozen times or so.
