Toshiba teases Android Honeycomb tablet

A few weeks ago we had an early look at the Toshiba Android Honeycomb tablet at CES 2011 but the company has now put up a teaser site for this unnamed device.
The site has a Flash-y intro which shows off all the features:

  • This includes a 10-inch screen with 720p resolution and ambient light sensors to adjust the screen brightness
  • 5-megapixel rear camera
  • front-facing camera for video calling
  • SD card slot
  • USB port
  • HDMI out
  • Headphone jack
  • NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
  • GPS
  • Motion sensors and more.
Coming This Spring!!!

Check out our hands-on video from CES 2011 (apologies for the low audio quality).

My interest shifted to this tablet after I heard about the $800 MAP for the XOOM. I can't wait to hear more info about it.

Unless the leaked Xoom price ends up being incorrect or news is released regarding an affordable wifi only version, this might be the new tablet for me! I've always had good experiences with Toshiba notebooks, so I'd like to think I'd have the same experience with a tablet. Based on what I've seen, this looks like my next big purchase. Fingers crossed that the price is no more than $500.
