Total Newbie

Hey folks, I recently purchased a new R2-D2 phone. I have been reading up on rooting the phone, but am totally new to this and want to make sure I don't turn my expensive phone into a nice paper weight.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it. Come to find out, I have a buddy that has rooted his phone and is very knowledgeable about it. I am going to talk with him about it as well to get a feel for things.
