Recently bought a used Eris off ebay which the buyer swore was in perfect condition. I tried to turn it on, got a red exclamation mark and when it finally booted I couldnt get past the lock screen.
Tried a hard reset and I saw it said "Touch Panel Fail" Unfortunately because of a ridiculous error on eBay's/Paypal's system, I was unable to successfully file a claim against the seller and am now stuck with the phone.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to get the touch screen to work again? I tried searching for solutions and it seems that it is an unfixable, hardware problem. Any updated suggestions would be appreciated.
