Touchscreen goes crazy when outside

Ok so I have been having this problem for a few days now.

I live in South Carolina, and right now it is hot as hell and very VERY humid.

I work outside for most of the day doing these jeep tours in Myrtle Beach. People are always late so I have to call them, but the past few days I have been unable to.

Basicaly after being outside for about 1-2 hours, my phone is unusable. All because of the touch screen. I can barely unlock the touch screen without the phone spazzying out, moving all over the screen, touching things I didnt touch. ALso barely responding to anything I do on the screen.

What I found is that the screen often goes un-usable after one touch, so I have to turn screen off and on for every single screen press. Very annoying.

Today it was so bad I couldnt even place a phone call.

Any ideas?

Could be the heat. Do you feel it getting hot in your pocket? Also if your pockets get wet from sweat it could seep into your phone it could mess with it a little. Happened with my itouch except it was rain I thought i was good but felt the inside of my pocket was a little moist and then my touch screen went to crap.
