Transitions in rom zip

If i replace the stock xml transitions in the framework/res/anim folder with custom ones like fold, fly in, will it take when i flash? or can those kinda things only be applied via metamorph? or last but not least will my phone just BLOW UP on boot LOL!!

only reason i ask is i do not have a good success rate with MM

If, anyone was curious this did infact work! seems to be much smoother and less glitchy then when i actually did get MM to work.

It worked perfect for me too i switched out the xml files to the moviestar-MOD xml
i did one set fly in to the rom. then i just started to change it on the phone that works too
push the framwork back while in recovery not so easy while the phone is running lol
