do you have some in mind?
the easiest way ( i think) to change icons is to get bettercut from the market.
i have some kind of transparent ones that i applied with bettercut, its pretty easy to do
(* i actually took these icons from an iphone theme called glasgart)
(btw, you can also change the names of the apps using bettercut)

my screenshot makes it look like they arent transparent since the background is dark, but they are
