I joined the forum to help in the process of deciding
which portable [computer/phone/pad/tethering] type device I
might want to use in the future.
My iPhone is coming up for renewal.
I like a desktop and big screen but you can't drag it with you.
My net-book keyboard is so small that I hook up peripherals.
It needs a net card at my boondocks place.
A data card is then the cost of another phone.
I go blind trying using the iPhone as a computer, but it works.
The Motorola Atrix with Lapdock is beginning to look like a possibility.
I have been running Linux on my computers since Fedora Core 3
and now at Fedora 15 I can't imagine the world without open source.
In addition to my linux boxes I have a mac mini.
The linux boxes can boot windows xp but it is rarely done.
