Turbo 2, Part 2

So my 'new' T2 will arrive soon.

You regulars here probably remember when I (thought) I got a bad update and all my Gappps started crashing non stop? So I did an FDR.
Then I had the VVM issue I thought was caused by M?
Sunday night after my 2nd FDR in a month to fix VVM I picked up my phone, unlocked it, clicked my Goog News app and the phone shut down on me.
Now the phone has done this to me 3 or 4 times. I am pretty forgiving of stuff like this.
Had to VOL + Power to get it back on. It comes up: Welcome to your new phone!

And then the Goog apps start crashing...again and again.
Couldn't even complete setup.
Eventually had to FDR from the Recovery menu to get it back up.
Called VZW. New phone on it's way.

I have NO luck with phones.

Well that's a bummer. I thought you had a custom Moto Maker phone? Is Verizon giving you a regular soft grip phone, or did they give you a code for a new Moto Maker? Either way...good luck with the new phone.

Ouch. Sounds like a new phone is the best thing that can happen to you at this point. Here's hoping that was just some sort of defective model and the new one works the way it should!

Here's the kicker: The VZW Rep was like "well I see this is your 3rd replacement is less then a year...."
It's not. I had 3 T1's replaced (with a glitch). "I'm showing you had 3" she says.
So yea...I could have ONCE AGAIN gotten any phone I wanted.
Very briefly thought about getting a G5 or S7 or V10.... In the end I like my T2...and the unbreakable screen is just too much to pass up for me.

Yes, I Moto Makere'd my phone. I just told her to send me one of theirs because I wanted it NEXT DAY. Since I still have my free Design Refresh, I will re-Moto Maker in 4 or 5 month.

OH NO!!!!! You really do have terrible luck.

Apparently they sent a T1 because they have NO refurbs/"Like New replacements" in stock of the T2.
What does that tell you? BEST PHONE EVER because apparently THEY DON'T BREAK!

He's trying to reach Moto now to get me a NEW phone. Been on hold for 30 minutes now. I don't have time for this. If it takes much longer I just may get an LG G5.

Don't do it man, don't do it. Make Verizon give you a Moto Maker code to order a new one. Then you should still be able to keep your refresh option that you paid for. Verizon can give the codes, if you talk to the right person that knows how to do it. It took me two tries to design my wife's phone and the second person knew what I was asking.

Well that's no fun. I don't understand why they can't just give you a replacement code? I guess because they only offer refurbs through warranty replacement and a new code would be a brand new phone.

I know what you mean. After I bought my Turbo 2's I took advantage of the $200 trade in program and traded in 2 old Razr M's. They had not been out of their boxes in a few years. Man they seemed so small compared to the Turbo 2. They didn't seem that small when we used them a few years back. Good luck with the Razr HD, hope the replacement phone arrives soon. It's always good to have at least one backup phone laying around for times like these.
