I just purchased a Galaxy S3 and everytime i touch the screen it draws a line. Also, at the very top it shows the coordinates of the cursor. i would like to turn this off at least temporarily so i can see what is underneath the positioning. can any one help?
This sounds like a "Development" or "Troubleshooting" mode that the phone is in. Perhaps inadvertently you have placed the phone into this mode when tinkering around with menu selections? Let's see if someone can comment to the validity of that hypothesis.
Settings -> Developer options -> uncheck "Show pointer location" and "Show touches" under the User Inteface section. Make sure nothing else is checked in that section either unless you're using it for something.
These settings shouldn't have been selected by default, so it's odd if the phone came that way. Unchecking those two things should straighten things out for you though.
