Turn off 'DROID' on startup?

It's annoying and loud, can you turn it off?
Turning down the volume is not an option because I need the volume up to hear calls...

Hmnmm it works on every other droid (not saying I don't believe you) so I would have to look through a physical droid pro. Have you set the notification sound to something other than the droid sound?

My droid 1 doesnt have this option. I am not rooted. Could it be anywhere else?

I own original Droid, Droid X and Droid Pro -- and ONLY the Droid Pro cannot be set to silence the DROID sound on boot up. Not saying I don't believe you spaz33g -- but ....
