Turning off auto-correct on Samsung Galaxy "Stellar"

I recently upgraded to this phone, which seems to fall somewhere between the cracks in these forums. It's designated as "Stellar" by Verizon, but I don't know the Samsung designation.

In any event, is there a way to turn off the auto-correct function on the keyboard? I've searched the menus and can't find it. It's very annoying.:angry:
