Just found this board and I'm very thankful that there is actually a Droid community.
Quick question: Just downloaded the app called " Handcent SMS" and it works brilliantly. Go ahead and download it if you haven't already, it's way superior to the Droid Text Message app it came with. The only problem I have with it is that whenever I receive a text message, I have notifications for both the Handcent SMS program and the Droid Text Message program at the same time, and I have to clear them both which is pretty annoying. Is there any way I can turn off getting alerts on the notification bar for the Droid Text Message program?
