Turning off the "Beep"

I might just be overlooking the obvious but I want to disable the loud "beep" that I get when I use barcode scanner (and Calorie Counter). If I silence by phone, or turn down sounds or even mute I still get the loud "click click click click.... BEEP" when scanning the barcodes.

Am I missing something? I do not see any additional settings in either Barcode Scanner or Calorie Counter to turn off sounds.

Hmm, is there a simular way in Calorie Counter? (that's the app I'm really confused about... =) Thanks!

Ohh, hmm does it use the app barcode scanner thru that app or is the barcode scanner within the calorie counter app?

I'll give it a try at lunch. I'm hoping that's the case. Don't want to try it at my desk as it is quite loud. *chuckle* I'll report back if it didn't fix the problem. Thanks all.
