Well it seems that twitter wants you to use their app and only their app when you want to tweet. So Plume, ubbertwitter, Twidroid. They want you to C&D.

Now please don't misunderstand that comment, they actually haven't issued a C&D but they have moved to discouraging devs from making apps that might happen to work better then their own. Why? Well there's always only one reason and it's usually green, at least in the USA.

Twitter to Devs: Don't Make Twitter Clients ... Or Else

lol was waiting for this to happen and i will be pissed if a C&D especially after i bought plume, but what i think will happen is Twitter will come to some agreement which will probably include a portion of these devs earnings from their apps.

BTW hookbill you do not sleep. almost, like a, robot.
edit------
or your in a different timezone. in which case good morning

Good Morning, I'm on Eastern Time. I get a lot of that but truth is usually I make a point of leaving the Forum no later then 10:00 pm. I do however, answer emails and even peak in during the middle of the night. But not last night.

Anyway I thought the twitter app story would be of interest. I prefer Plume myself and I'd rather have a choice then just use what twitter wants me to use.

And again there is no C&D, I doubt if there will be but you never know.

In my opinion, twitter is just a concept and servers, who cares what client people use to interface with it? They released their API to be used by devs. I guess I understand their desire for consistency across mobile apps... but in the end it should be up to what end users want. I think people understand the concept.. lol.
