Twitter update notifications not working

So with the newest twitter app update that added push notifications I now receive no notifications. It worked perfect until the update, I would always get the notification in the status bar. Now nothing but when I go into the app it has the new tweets loaded and has the blue light, so it seems its just not sending the notifications. Has anyone else had the same issue? Im not rooted just standard droid2

Go into the settings for your individual Twitter account and set it to check for individual tweets there.

Well that was simple and now I feel stupid for not re-checking my settings after the update.
