Two missed text messages won't disappear.

I use the stock text message app. For some reason it says there's two missed text messages that won't disappear. I have wiped out all texts and even did a battery pull and still theres a #2 on top the text button appears like if I haven't seen it....Anything else I can do before I have to do a factory reset???

I would just download handcent its a good sms app I absolutely love it

Same thing happened to me, just have someone text you and it should go away.

Yes. Exactly what I did. I turned off my phone and sent a text to it via another phone. When I turned my mine on, it worked!

Not quite the same problem but didn't know where else to post...in the stock text message app my contact photos show up sometimes and sometimes they don't its driving me nuts anyone else seeing this??

Strange, I haven't heard such a problem. Do a battery pull while the phone is on, its called a soft reset....

Turn off the phone and text it via another phone.

Menu>applications>manage apps>all (tab at top). Scroll to messaging, tap clear cache then clear data. Make sure you save any pictures or videos you've been sent and want to keep. This will clear out the missed message notification.
