Custom Recovery has finally made its way to the LG G5. Now before you get too excited this is currently only available for the international variant H850. The international variant is the only version of the device that has an official bootloader unlock method from LG. The other variants are still waiting on some sort of hack or crack to get things going.
That being said the guy who built TWRP for the international variant of the LG G5, "jcadduono" says when other variants receive bootloader unlock he will easily be able to build TWRP for those devices. Once you have TWRP installed you will be able to easily root your LG G5. Head to the link below for the full instructions and downloads.
