I've been searching everywhere for some help on this one, so hopefully someone here has an idea...
When my wife bought the X, the main reasons for doing so were the large screen and Swype - both for the color scheme and the ability to "swype". She have some vision problems and the contrast of the keyboard was perfect and being able to zig-zag across the screen was much easier than trying to tap out each key. However, the Froyo update has changed all of that. The new keyboard is very difficult to see because of the gray/black color scheme.
So, is there any way to either uninstall the stock version of Swype (if I have to root, that's ok, but is there a way to unroot?) or somehow change the theme of the keyboard? I appreciate the other comments I've received about using a different keyboard or a different phone, but those aren't options in her case. I really need to fix what she's got and get it back to the blue color scheme...
I have an invite to the beta program, so if I can get the stock version uninstalled I can install the beta version on her phone...
Any help would be greatly appreciated - the phone was absolutely perfect for her up until yesterday when the update came down, now she struggles with seeing the keyboard.
