Universal inbox - no Gmail?

I've tried configuring my universal inbox mutliple times to get gmail. It shows gmail as an option, but no gmail ever populates in it. Also, is there a way to configure the properties of the universal inbox? The reverse contrast (black background with white letters) dosn't work for me and looks lousy IMHO.

Yeah, i have the same problem. It's making me miss my Blackberry. Why in the world does it show up, but not allow for inclusion...
